Michael H. Fuchs joined the Policy Planning Staff in March 2009 and is responsible for democracy, human rights, and governance issues. Michael has been Associate Managing Director for Energy and Environmental Policy at the Center for American Progress, Co-Director of the Project on Democracy and U.S. Foreign Policy at The Century Foundation, and Deputy National Security Director for Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign. Michael has also worked on a human rights project in Afghanistan, and was formerly a Research Associate at the Center for American Progress, covering a wide range of foreign policy issues. He received a B.A. from Columbia University.
