In the September 14 edition of
BusinessWeek, the Department of State placed among the top five places to launch a career. Out of hundreds of employers, including write-ins, the Department of State ranked:
· first as best federal agency to launch a career; and
· fifth as best place to launch a career.
The Department of State was listed under first-ranked Deloitte & Touche, second-ranked Ernst & Young, third-ranked PricewaterhouseCoopers, and fourth-ranked KPMG.
BusinessWeek’s ranking of best places to launch a career is based on a poll of 60,000 U.S. undergraduate students by Universum USA, a Philadelphia research company; and information provided by employers on everything from pay and benefits to training programs and retention.
