Question: Provide information about Under Secretary Burns’ trip to Egypt. Whom is he meeting? What will be discussed? What are our expectations for his meetings?

Answer: Under Secretary Bill Burns will travel to Egypt June 6-7. He will meet with senior Egyptian officials to put in place a framework for comprehensive discussions between our two countries on a range of issues. These discussions will enhance our cooperation with Egypt and strengthen our bilateral relationship.
