The Center for the Study of the Environment is a private not-for-profit organization, providing information, identification, analysis and optimal solutions to environmental problems. CSE was founded in 1992. It has developed a new process of environmental problem-solving based on a belief that answers arise from the process of study and analysis. The Center seeks objective, rational, scientifically-based solutions; the goal is to balance the economic needs of people with the needs of an environment under siege. All projects are science-based. Solutions should arise from information, not from ideologies, and the search for solutions should be approached with the same kind of scientific design and thinking that has led to advances in medicine, space technology, and information technology over the past fifty years.
