Section 06: Subsection 3 - Foreign Commercial Service

Report

Commercial Posts of the Department of State (Posts With No Foreign Commercial Service)

Although many U.S. posts have assigned to them a Department of Commerce Foreign Commercial Service (FCS) officer to promote exporting by U.S. firms, at posts where there is no FCS presence, export promotion is a function of the Agency's personnel.  The FCS has a presence in 85 countries.  For information about the FCS, please see their website at http://www.export.gov/comm_svc/.
